Chou à la noix de coco et Tarte aux fruits//Coconut cabbage and Fruits pie

Voilà les recettes suivantes de la semaine, elles sont très simples mais plutôt longues à cause de tout les ingrédients à découper.


Bien évidemment, nous ne vous conseillons pas de servir avec de la viande grillée mais avec des substituts de viande ou des lentilles et du riz/semoule/quinoa.

La crème fraîche épaisse a été remplacée par de la crème de soja.

Coconut cabbage


Ingredients :

Cabbage : 1 kg

Onion : 1

Salt : 1 teaspoon

Oil : 3 tablespoons

Coconut milk : 25 cL


Preparation :

Step 1

Chop the onion. Cut the cabbage in thin slices.

Step 2

Sauté the onion until it’s tender then add the cabbage and the salt. Cook during 5 minutes until the cabbage is tender while stiring constantly.

Step 3

Add the coconut milk. Boil it then lower the heat and cook over low heat during 5 minutes.

Step 4

Serve hot with meat substitutes or lentils and rice/semolina/quinoa.


Fruits pie


Ingredients :

Papaya or guava (or apricot) juice : 250 mL

Corn flour : 4 tablespoons

Sugar : 8 tablespoons

Lemon juice : 4 tablespoons

Chopped unsalted peanuts : 125 g

Fresh fruits (papaya/pinapple/cantaloupe/oranges/guava/…) : 500 g

Salt : ½ teaspoon

Grated coconut : 125 g

Soy cream : 250 mL


Preparation :

Step 1

Boil the fruit juice in a pot.

Step 2

Dissolve the flour in the lemon juice. Add 4 tablespoons of sugar and the salt. Stir well

Step 3

Add the flour in the boiling juice while stiring. Cook it and continue to stir until the mix gets thicker and detach itself from the pot.

Step 4

Add the fresh fruits cut in cubes. Let it cool down.

Step 5

Pour in a pie plate then put in the fridge.

Step 6

Mix the cold soy cream with the rest of the sugar and pour on the pie. Sprinkle some gratted coconut and the peanuts.

Step 7

Serve cold with some sparkling wine.
